I’m in the process of planning my next tattoo, and one of the elements I’m including is a crescent moon. In fact, my first tattoo was a crescent moon, and my first business when I was super young and in my 20’s had ‘Luna’ in the name, so suffice it to say, The Moon and I go wayyyyyy back. In fact, I included the moon in three illustrations in my Coloring Dream Mandalas adult coloring book, and one was featured on the back cover – a favorite! Anyway, these are just some of the reasons why I’m so excited to share these moon coloring pages for adults with you – they are absolutely beautiful! Honestly I think my favorites in the collection below are the luna moth and the moon with crystals coloring pages – so soothing and pretty.
The color palette I’m suggesting here is inspired by the night sky of course – blues, purples, pinks, mauves, turquoises, teals, and of course, set off with a few warm tones of earthy oranges to make your lunar designs pop against the cool colors in your backgrounds. Remember that warm colors bring subjects forward while cool colors make subjects recede into the background.
