One of my all time favorite trends / aesthetics/ whatever you want to call it is the steampunk movement. Inspired by a mashup of Victorian and Edwardian fashion, steam engine machines, and futuristic technology, it’s just an absolutely gorgeous genre of art, fashion and fantasy. I’ve always been into vintage stuff, so it’s right up my alley. So these steampunk coloring pages for adults are just screaming at me to be colored and I can’t wait to get going on some of them!
I’ve suggested a darker, desaturated color palette because that’s what the vibe is all about. It’s moody, a little seductive, definitely edgy, and representative of both a time long ago and a time well into the future. I know that the steampunk trend isn’t as big as it was a few years ago, but my love of it hasn’t waned at all. I’m guessing it’s the same for you, so enjoy and may all of your rusty, mechanical dreams come true!
